IT Governance

IT Governance is not a project but a continuing progression. Evolving from "corporate governance", IT Governance can be seen as the formalisation of the management processes which that your IT supports your Business effectively and efficiently.

Several methodologies can help IT managers structure and formalise the IT management process. The two most commonly used are CoBIT and ITIL. CoBIT (Control Objectives for Information Technology) is owned and developed by the US-based Information Systems Audit and Control Association (isaca.org). The Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) originated in Britain , where it grew out of the government's desire to develop a common framework for auditing the IT function of its many agencies and has grown into a multi-volume framework describing best practice in IT management, as is becoming common practice.

Rather than spending too much time on complicated process diagrams without actually doing anything, APCS Consultants deliver practical help, working together to establish certain rules and procedures which define IT Delivery activities, ensure transparency and effective ownership
